To all workers at the Tesla Giga Factory in Grünheide: We, the workers at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Berlin-Marienfelde, wholeheartedly support your struggle! You can make history. Make your plant the world's first Tesla factory with a collective bargaining agreement! To do this, you need to build union power in your company.
- Join our IG Metall union!
- Vote for List 1!
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, and his German lackeys in your factory management are fanatically anti-union. They want wage slaves who will let them do whatever they want. You can put a stop to these delusions of grandeur. They need you. Even electric cars don't build themselves.
Only 35 km apart, we produce high-quality cars and car components. So we should also have the same working conditions!
- The same wages
- the same 35-hour working week
- the same vacation and Christmas bonuses
- the same shift allowances
As an individual worker, you are powerless against your boss. With a union, such demands can be enforced. The inhumane working conditions in your plant must come to an end:
- Workplaces and cycle times that don't make us sick!
- Additional breaks on the assembly lines!
- Sick leave without harassment and home visits
- An end to favoritism when pay grades are allocated!
- Permanent contracts for the temporary workers!
- Free trade union activity in the company!
- An end to spying on the workforce!
- No disrespect from supervisors!
Our management is no better. Källenius complained about workers in Germany: "It shouldn't be so easy to call in sick." (Süddeutsche Zeitung, December 12, 2024) In the southern states of the US—which have been anti-union for decades—German car manufacturers have made a fortune. Jason Wade of the UAW (United Auto Workers union) recently reported: "When workers began to organize, Mercedes responded with an aggressive anti-union campaign—using fear, pressure, and intimidation." (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, February 9, 2026) In the German car plants, they cannot simply behave as they would on a plantation. There is only one reason for this: their fear of the two million workers organized in IG Metall.
But we in Marienfelde also face enormous problems. As in all German car factories, we are confronted with a management that is ruthlessly destroying industrial jobs. From a previous total of 3,600, we are to be reduced to less than 1,500. Our group, Autoarbeiter für eine kämpfende IG Metall (Auto Workers for a Fighting IG Metall), has come together to fight against this. Our colleagues are watching the IG Metall struggle at Tesla very closely. Because we also need a union that is a fighting organization again. Let's get in touch! An alliance of Tesla, Mercedes, and BMW workers in the Berlin area could be a force that asserts union power in the capital!
(IG Metall Tesla Workers)!
Auto Workers for a Fighting IG Metall - We are a group of militant colleagues from different departments of the factory. Among our ranks you will find workers of different ethnicities. We include both ordinary IG Metall members as well as shop stewards and works council members.
