The Partisan Defense Committee demands that your office drop all the charges leveled against 11 Stanford University pro-Palestinians protesters for their occupation of the President’s Office Building in June 2024. The two felony count indictments carry a maximum three-year eight-month prison sentence and are attached to a grossly inflated restitution claim by Stanford estimated at between $360,000 and $1 million. And they come months after the administration imposed its own disciplinary measures, including student suspensions, eviction from campus housing and loss of campus employment. This vindictive prosecution will chill the right of anyone on campus to protest administration or government policy.
