Prometheus Research Library

The Prometheus Research Library is a working Marxist research library and also the central archives of the Spartacist League/U.S., section of the International Communist League (Fourth Internationalist). The Library’s collection began as the personal library of James Robertson, a lifelong communist and founder of the Spartacist League/U.S. He donated his own books and archives to create the reference library for the Spartacist League Central Committee. We encourage use of our books and archives, which do not circulate, and welcome visitors to our reading room in lower Manhattan.
