Spartacist League/U.S. speaker at united front protest initiated by the Partisan Defense Committee in front of the Nigerian Consulate to protest repression of #EndBadGovernance activists.
This was part of an international campaign of protests as the trial began on November 8 in Nigeria for 11 activists, including unionists and socialists, facing the death penalty on trumped up “treason” charges.
Other speakers at this united front protest included: representatives of the PDC, Open All Police Archives, the International Democratic People’s Uhuru Movement, the Internationalist Group, and Transit Workers for a Fighting Union. Greetings from South Africa’s Committee to Defend Xolani Khoza, and from former president of the electrical workers union in Puerto Rico, now Coordinator of ProSol-UTIER Angel Figueroa Jaramillo were also read. Other endorsers included Hospital Workers Building Union Power and several unions from around the world.
