We all know RevFest wouldn’t be the same without the Sparts. Here are our questions for you this year:

  1. Why did the RCP’s attitude to Your Party go from extreme enthusiasm to dismissive?

  2. Are we seeing the first stages of the world revolution?

  3. Are China and the US equally reactionary?

  4. Is there a qualitative difference between Zack Polanski and Zarah Sultana?

  5. Will the RCI agree to debate the Sparts?

  1. The RCP never saw its tasks as fighting to steer Your Party in the right direction. When things got tough, it bailed.

  2. Nope. We are at the dawn of a reactionary period. Rising discontent does not necessarily benefit the left.

  3. Obviously not. The US is the greatest imperialist power, aggressively confronting the world. Meanwhile the CPC is a conservative bureaucracy which still rests on the gains of the 1949 revolution. In China, at least 100 million would answer “yes” to “Are you a Communist?”

  4. Of course. Polanski leads a petty bourgeois party with liberal politics. Sultana claims to want a party with anti-capitalist working class politics. Socialists must support her against the Greens and the right-wing of Your Party.
